{our Sunday + pictures from our week}
{Scroll down if you just came for the pictures and not the boring words. I understand that. It's okay.}
I'll write this post in between bites of homemade biscuits lathered with butter and honey. And my ice water, because I really haven't been drinking soda. At all. {Be proud of me Cilla.:)}
Downstairs, the older half of the rest of my family is watching "Worst Cooks of America". {It's become the new "Sunday Night tv show" ever since the terrible Downton Abby finale.} They watch it for laughs. I watch it to make myself feel better about my cooking abilities. I mean seriously. One of the dudes literally grilled cheese for a grilled cheese sandwich. He placed the cheese right on the grill. No bread. And while we were all laughing, I had a flashback to the time I actually thought that was how you made grilled cheese. It's not. And I do know how to make a really amazing grilled cheese. Bacon and all.
Today, after a really convicting sermon on Hebrews 3:1-6, about considering Jesus' greatness, us older Morse kids went out to lunch with our "youth group". Logan came home for spring break after being gone for seven months, so we decided to be awesome and go out to lunch. For some reason we chose Zaxbys, and that was a little weird, but oh well. It was good. We all crammed into a little booth, because Zaxbys was surprisingly full today. We ate chicken and talked about what every body has been up to. {How to de-gut and kill squirrels after your hawk has caught them may or may not have been a part of the conversation.} We talked about famous people and rafting trips. Coffee and babysitting and songwriting. It was good to have Logan back. We've missed him and his weirdness. But we missed Owen, who left for basic training. :(
Oh, and guess what? While we were eating Zaxbys, Mama and Daddy took the little boys to Salsaritas. aka: the best restaurant ever. When I asked Mama why, she said, "Well, we had less kids to pay for." Isn't it great? That feeling of love you get when your Mom says stuff like that?
Later in the afternoon, we, our entire family, went to Walmart to get Creed his big-boy Superman underwear. It was quite hilarious to see my family of 13 crowded around the little boy underwear aisle to find underwear that was "just right" for Creed'O. There were so many options! Did he want Avengers, or Hulk, or Cars, or Batman? We had to make a big deal about this. Yeah. It's a little weird. But it's Morsel life.
Sunday afternoons in our house used to be strictly for naps. Everyone would be sentenced to their beds with either a book or plans to sleep. And of course, when we were told we had to take a nap, we didn't want to. But now, Sunday afternoons aren't as strict. Daddy and Spencer and most of the little boys go hunting, Mama and the twins watch Hallmark movies, Blessing climbs the stairs 37 times, and I...well, I sleep. Because sleep is good. Sleep and I are besties. I love sleep. And sleep loves me. Today, dad and the boys went hunting, Mom printed up pages for school and I slept for an amazing 3 hours. Yes. 3.stinking.hours. I was interrupted about 7 times by a little 3 year old who wanted me to take him and Blessing to the park, and once I woke up to Blessing standing by my bed just looking at me. When I opened my eyes, she immediately smiles and says "Mimi! Wake up!" then she says more seriously, "Biscuits? Can you make biscuits?" But despite the interruptions, it was a well spent 3 hours of my life.
I woke up when Daddy got back home. I heard the boys yelling about how Daddy's hawk caught another squirrel, and Blessing running around saying, "Daddy! Daddy! I love you! Daddy, you crazy!"
Then came me making biscuits. And cleaning the kitchen, because I have kitchen duty on Sundays.
Now, here I sit. With Pandora playing, my biscuits gone, and my brother watching Big Foot commercials.
It's 10:23pm, the laptop is about to run out of battery, and I have pictures to post.

~Nan and I took Creed, Addi, and Blessing down to the park last Tuesday. Just us.~
My friends were there again, and this time I actually got 2 pictures.
Chocolate Popsicles. That's the reason for her brown chin. :)
"Neva, take a picture of me hiding behind my gun before I shoot you."
He really does love me.
Look at her outfit! She won't sit still long enough for us to find matching clothes. There's too much to do.
I can't get over how beautiful this girl is. And her personality is so big and crazy. We love her so much.
My sweet potty-trained boy. :)
~Play practice~
Here are a few pictures for you Cilla. :)
~Sunset~
Last night we had a gorgeous sunset, and you know how I love sunsets.
I switched my camera to the manual setting and turned it as dark as I could so the sun showed up warmer. *sigh* God's creation gives me chills y'all.
