{what i love + whom i love}

I love a good picture. I love crisp focus, natural lighting, pretty backgrounds, and creative poses. I love candid smiles and big beautiful eyes.

I love capturing people being happy and having a good time. I love capturing love between people. I love the feel of my camera doing what it does in my hands. I love making people laugh.

Guys, I love photography. This is what I want to do.

But you know what I love so much more than capturing the moments? I love the people creating the moments. I love the people in front of the pretty backgrounds. The ones with beautiful smiles and gorgeous eyes. The people being happy and making me laugh. 

The weather has been lovely here in Chattanooga, and my sister's and I love to take advantage of it. So this afternoon, we set out for a spontaneous photo shoot.




Introducing my beyond gorgeous twin sisters, Emily Marie, and Katherine Margaret. They are so pretty it hurts me and makes me so happy at the same time. And they're funny and cute and make me smile.








I thought it might be cute if Katie lay her head in Emily's lap, turns out it actually just looks really awkward....

{dear daddy}

After trying and trying to determine what kind of guy I wanted as a husband I finally came to a decision that I believe most girls come to at some point. I prayed a prayer that went something like this: Dear God, please bring me a man just like my daddy. Because, you now what? My daddy is the best guy. When I was little he was my hero, and that hasn't changed one bit as I have grown up...in fact it has just become so much more true. He is my hero .   My dad is an imperfect human, just like the rest of tus. He is a sinner. He struggles with stuff. He doesn't know everything .  But he is still my hero...you know why?
