{life as of late}

Life as of late has been crazy in the Morsel House. As I type this I feel a rush of details from the past few weeks swarm into my mind. We've been really busy.  And even though I'm exhausted and really want to sleep for days and days and not have anything pressing in for our attention, I am so thankful for this time with my family.  There's been stress and arguing. There's been many many late nights and many more early mornings. There's been failures and mistakes. There's been tears and frustrations.  But there's been so much more laughter and sarcastic joking with each other.  There's been reminiscing late at night, and yummy biscuits waiting for us in the early morning topped with warm butter and honey. There's been so many successes and fantastic ideas ending with amazing results to be proud of. There's been so many smiles filled with joy. Lately I've been constantly thinking of growing ...

{I'm the kind of person...}

...who reads a very well written, amazingly inspiring, just plain happy blog and then feels like a good writer and inspired and happy and in the mood to write a post full of  cool words combined to make sentences that give people the same chills I just got.   I'm the kind of person who sits down on the lawn chair used for the computer, in the midst of boys throwing pillows and jumping from the sofa to a mattress, fully prepared to write something great.   I'm the kind of person who then realizes this: I have nothing exciting to write about.   I'm the kind of person who, after reading about families dealing with weddings and new babies and all things grand, feels almost bored with my own life.   But then a 2 year old princess walks out from her nap. These last few weeks in the Morsel house have been a mix between extremely busy and wonderfully lazy. After recovering from a glorious weekend at the beach, applying aloe gel every morning, noon and night to my peeling/burning/still-red-as-a-lobster-skin, getting back into the school that I should have done weeks ago, taking long walks with Blessing, reading like crazy, practicing choir music, texting friends, planning get togethers, planning on planning our garden, sleeping in late, trying new recipes, making grilled cheese sandwiches with bacon...must I go on? One of the "big" things that happened is this: We released the hawks. After months of training, and feeding, and freaking out-ing, and hunting with the beautiful, amazing birds, we had to let them go. When you catch hawks, the deal is you train them. You hunt them. You enjoy them. Then you make them fat and let them go back into the wild. Hoping that whatever you taught them about hunting sticks w...

{a fresh start}

Here is my first post on my new blog. If you are new to me and my ramblings: This blog is the 2nd of it's kind. I started it because of issues with my other one . {I refuse to call it my "old" blog, because I shall always love it as my first ever blog.} I started my other blog about 6 years ago. Blogging has become one of my favorite things to do in the world. And so. Here is the begining to a whole new Neva's Life. And I hope you enjoy it.
